Kent is the President and CEO of jazzed4life International (see 'What is jazzed4life?') and is the Administrator of jazzed4life eSentialz. Kent lives in Illinois. He is married to his wonderful wife Karen and has four children, Kyle, Kel, Kat and Kia, and also Sanbo, a Japanese Chin (dog).
Kent has encouraged those with disabilities for many years and believe that the Lord has placed this ministry on his heart because he has the energy and drive to fulfill its purpose. He loves to write and his passion is sharing the stories of those who are overcoming their challenges and, in spite of their circumstances, following God's purpose in their life. Kent is a runner and musician and is doing his best to follow God's purpose in his life. Kent writes all of the eSentialz posts on this site. Pamela Alderman
“Your art speaks of healing,” said New York artist Makoto Fujimura. A few years ago in his book signing line, Pamela showed him her homemade portfolio. Graciously, he flipped through my Xeroxed reproductions.
Years before, her parents had enrolled her in art lessons. At 11, her first painting was sold. She was hooked. From then on, her fingernails wore oil paint.
After graduation while teaching conversational English in Japan, she met her husband, Leon. While raising four lively children—her brushes lay dormant. In 2006, when her second child graduated from high school, she started painting again.
Around the same time, a life-long friend, Bob Boardman, mentioned in a letter, “Pamela should develop her writing.” His encouragement ignited a spark.
By identifying her calling—“healing”—Fujimura empowered her creativity. Through writing an e-book of original artwork and life stories, she has been experiencing healing. And many others have joined her on this journey towards healing and hope.

Lori Laws
At the age of 30, Lori's life drastically changed when she began having serious problems with coordination and balance and eventually was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy (see the post, titled 'Encourage'). Though she wanted to take her life, the Lord decided to take it instead. Thus began an incredible journey of redemption and faith.
On her site, appropriately titled 'Persevere', she says: "Jesus is the love of my life, and I'm all about proclaiming His goodness! Most importantly, I'm here to share the Good News! I am running the race of faith in the midst of my daily struggles with a Muscle Disease. Why don't you run the race with me?"

Melissa Melvin
Melissa Melvin is a young woman who has a heart for missions. Though she has Cerebral Palsy, her disability does not stop her from following the Lord's guidance in her life. Her heart and desire has been to serve orphans in Romania and she has been there now a total of 4 times. (See the post, titled Stand).

Holly Strother
Holly is a young woman with a vibrant smile and a zest for life. She has recently graduated with her Master's degree in Social Work and is excited to be able to move on with the rest of her life. On her blog, The Heart of Holly, she writes: "My life is a display of the mercy, strength and glory of my Lord Jesus Christ. Born with Spina bifida, I have traveled a difficult road in understanding the sovereignty and grace of an Almighty Creator. Yet in His mercy, have found newness of life through the saving love of Jesus Christ...♥holly.
